Lesson 6: Getting ready for barre chords
The F shape and the E shape: your key to every chord.
Why barre chords matter so much
With open chords you play a fixed set of keys. With barre chords you can play any chord, because the shape is the same everywhere on the neck. Only the fret where you place it changes the key.
Barre means: one finger (usually the index finger) lies flat across several strings at once, like a movable capo made with your finger.
